I hate the look and sounds of bubbly down jackets. I bought to see if I would like as a midlayer, but decided to get a heavyweight parka instead for cold days. I did like this more than down bubble jackets. It's less bulky, and not so shiny. It is warm, Icebreaker says this is similar to 600fill down jackets. It is definitely warm and not bulky. Would work great as a solid midlayer

I love this sleek warm Icebreaker jacket, just the thing for autumn/winter. The outer shell is like a typical down-type "puffy," but it's not as bulky and deflects light moisture better than traditional down jackets. The wool insulation makes the jacket quite warm. The construction and fit are top-notch, typical Icebreaker quality. While this jacket is a bit too heavy for backpacking, it will be my go-to jacket for winter dayhikes, campouts, travel, and just tooling around town.

My husband looks so handsome in this jacket! He says it's awesome. Warm and lightweight. Works on the hiking trail and around town. Great fit in his typical size.

Purchased this jacket to use as a mid layer under a shell for skiing ect: Ordered size L. The fit is not bad but find it to be a bit tight around upper chest under the arms. Rides up when lifting arms. Jacket is well made and looks good on. Have not used yet as intended but feel it will get the job done with the right base layer in temps that are not to cold. (teens and below). Will update later. Me 5 10 198.

I own a lot of jackets for hiking and backpacking. This one has got to be one of the best I have ever purchased. It is not a light weight jacket, not like a down jacket for hiking, but for wearing around town or on a cold day in the winter, this is what I will be wearing. It is comfortable, fits perfects, is extremely well made, and very warm. Nothing negative to say except please note it is not light weight.
