Icebreaker MerinoLOFT Helix Hooded Jacket - Merino Wool, Insulated (For Men)
Discontinued. Icebreaker's MerinoLOFT Helix hooded jacket doles out impressive warmth with its breathable, lightweight MerinoLOFT merino wool insulation, and its water-resistant polyester shell keeps precipitation at bay. Add it to your layering system in extreme cold or use it alone on cool spring and fall days.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mikey from maryland on Thursday, November 17, 2016I do like the jacket. it is not a jacket for below frrezing even layered would not use it. but in 40-60 it is a great all around jacket. ilike the fit, 5'9 165 with 43 chsest it fits great
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hit from Minnesota on Wednesday, November 2, 2016I was looking for a lightweight layering coat and preferred this to the highly stitched puff jackets that are out there. It probably weighs marginally more than those, but it looks great and the fit is tight to the body, but still provides ample flexibility. I haven't fully tested the jacket in hiking/ski conditions, but it provides ample warmth and looks good enough to wear out to dinner.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by wdh100 from IN on Tuesday, November 1, 2016I'm 6' 190lbs 39 chest and I ordered the medium because I wanted this jacket as a layering item. The fit is fairly snug under the arms and through the shoulders, but works with a thin layer under it. The jacket has mesh under the arm, and down the sides which can let cold air in if your not doing more activity. This jacket is pretty thin, and best used as a light fall jacket or a layer, it is not going to stand up to much under 40F.
The quality is great, as is most of Icebrakes stuff.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by didee99 from Colorado on Saturday, October 29, 2016My husband was going to keep this but then we saw the Icebreaker Stratus jacket that was more of a winter jacket without the stretch panels that this one has on the sides. This jacket seems to be more for active pursuits whereas my husband was looking for a warmer around town jacket that he could also wear doing activities.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Adam from Chicago on Wednesday, October 12, 2016Great material, nice options, good fit. 5'10 170lbs. I'm right between a M and a L. Medium body fits better but the sleeves are too tight (I lift weights and have muscular arms) Large sleeves are perfect but the body is slightly looser, though not much. You almost can't go wrong either way unless you want it extra loose or extra fitted. Also, the L leaves a little more sleeve length for biking (arms outstretched) whereas the M seemed like it may be too short for that position
