I had high hopes for these Daylite hiking boots they seem well made, lite yet sturdy. But each time I hiked with them I got sore feet they are made for a very narrow foot, disappointing.

I have owned many hiking boots over the years but out of the box these are the most comfortable I have ever owned. Out on the trail they have terrific traction and feel great after 12 mile hikes. I even wear them as every day wear and these are a very stylish boot. Construction is excellent and they repel water like a duck's back!

Quality made boots, have worn on a few hikes now and afterwards feets were a little sore. the heel is higher than most normal hiking boots, { I don't know if this is a european made issue, possibly} But I put a pair of sof soles in them and it helped. Overall, for less than a $100 with the added supports I like them very much and expect they will last quite a long time.

Giving a Shoe review is tough because everyone's feet are different but for me, these really work. Just what you would expect from Scarpa. Pretty comfortable right out of the box. 1st 4 mile hike with moderate ups and down presented no issues for me. No Hot spots or blisters right out of the box. I have not had them in the wet yet so can't comment on the Gore-Tex liner. I wear custom insoles so I did order a Half size up. The boot is stable, good ankle support and great traction. It's early in the life of these but so far so good. If there was a negative, it's that they are Hot for summer days in TX. But given the full leather upper, this is expected. Now just got to wait to see how they hold up. For the price though, these are pretty hard to beat.

Awesome fit, feel true to slightly small. I'm a true 10 these fit like they shood for a 43 (10). These are a light hiker approach would not use them for backpacking. They feel like a cross between a minimalist and a hiker. Very cut, fine fit. Seem durable after two weeks. These have become my daily do everything shoe. Leaving for a documentary film shoot in Zambia, these are the only shoes I'm taking! That's called trust! Better get a second pair before they sell out and stop making them!

The Scarpa Daylites seem more of an approach shoe than a hiker. And true to the 'climbing' heritage this shoe runs small - my teenager could barely get it on his foot. Returned and went with an Asolo instread.

I don't use these for hiking but I surely could. I have been using them to trek around San Francisco and they are perfect for that too . Very comfortable. I use a Dr Scholl's 230 orthotic for a high arch. Once my feet and legs caught on to the way these boots are designed walking the hills is even more enjoyable.

I have lots of Scarpa's and I like them all. These are well made. They make good hikers with inserts if you aren't using them for approach.
