I purchased this for my son, and it look incredibly warm. Very roomy, with a removable vest in a cool print to wear on its own. There is no way you could be cold wearing this, it is amazing. It won't get much wear (living in California - only when we go up to the snowy mountains) but at that closeout price, who cares?

I have a skinny son and this looks too bulky on him. But it is a beautiful, warm jacket for the average kid.
Note that there's no powder skirt at the bottom so may not be so ideal for skiing.

Bought these for my nephews for Christmas 8 & 10. They loved them. Skied in them in 12 degree weather one day and heavy snow the next. They were warm and dry!

I bought this after seeing that someone in Alaska recommended this jacket. My son loves it, said it is so comfy and that he could sleep in it. It has a zip out vest , large hood so that actually covers the childs head if it rains, and also long torso so his bottom would be somewhat protected if it rained. My son is 8 but is way above average for height so really needs a size 10. I bought the size 10-12 and it is great and I think it will actually fit him until he is 12. Well made, highly recommend. Excellent price.

The jacket is perfect for our child in Alaska as our climate changes from -20 to +30.
