I love these shoes. I ordered them to replace a pair of Vasque low hikers that I have worn the tread off. These shoes are light weight but sturdy and really comfortable. No break in time, I put them on when they arrived and wore them all day. They fit true to size ( I wear a 9), have plenty of arch support, and the toe box allows room for hiking socks. I am not a professional hiker, but we do hike 3 to 5 mile trails most weekends (Blue Ridge) and walk 3 miles most afternoons (level). I wear them all day almost every day. I am super pleased with this purchase and the price and quick shipping from Sierra.

Love these shoes! They are comfortable and give my toes plenty of wiggle room - perfect for my bunions! I also added arch supports because I have very high arches. I would say they are true to size, or my size, anyway. I wear an 8.5 and I bought an 8.5. I wear them with medium weight hiking socks and would buy them again.

These shoes are sturdy and comfortable for hiking all types of trails, from smooth to rocky. They are very comfortable and offer lots of support. I have been a salomon customer for years! Their shoes are consistently true to size with a little more wiggle room in the toe box which is great for my not too slim feet.

This shoe looks terrific and when I opened the box, I was super excited about the looks. Feeling pretty sure it would all be great, since I wear Salomon's all the time, was very say that the seams on top of the shoe where the lace loops are sewn rubbed, making it uncomfortable. I figured they wouldn't even work for hiking, since it was not good just putting them on, so I sadly sent them back.

Shoes fit as usual and comfortable on their first hike, out of the box. No breaking in period needed. Good sturdy light hikers.

I thru-hiked the PCT in 2014 and was having major foot issues (plantar fasciitis) and my trail runners were no help, and seemed to break down completely (tearing holes in the sides) after only a few hundred miles. I switched to the Salomon Ellipse Aero shoes, and they changed my hiking life! My pain went away with the newfound support, but the shoes are light enough to still allow my speedy thru-hiking footwork. This single pair lasted me over 1,600 miles of hiking! I just bought a new pair once the treads finally wore down (only one minor tear!) and am in love all over again. I think this will be a lasting relationship.

I had high hopes for these shoes, but they were too narrow in the toe box. Not recommended for anyone with wide-ish feet.

This shoe is extremely light weight and comfortable with no breaking in time. There is room for an insert if you need more arch support.

I have been wearing Salomon Ellipse for a few years and I love them. I am usually a size 10, but sometimes size 10 is too narrow or too short. These fit me perfectly and are comfortable for hiking for hours. Price varies widely for these. Price at Sierra Trading Post was as low as I can find, so I bought.
