Pendleton Ultralight Merino Wool Sweater - Jewel Neck (For Women)

Closeouts. Pendleton's Ultralight merino wool sweater feels more like a refined top than a pullover sweater. Made of itch-free merino wool, this versatile piece offers warmth and next-to-skin comfort, and is stylish enough to wear to the office or weekend brunch with the girls.

I got this sweater and a brown V-neck sweater and they look great together. this Jewel Necked sweater feels so soft against my skin. And, it is nice and warm!

I bought this having read the other reviews, which mentioned that the fabric was too thin to wear as a stand-alone garment (which I also found to be true.) I love the itch-free nature of merino wool, however, and I'm really enjoying wearing this piece as a base layer this winter. Whatever the activity, whether high intensity or low, this is a very comfortable sweater that fits well and provides that extra bit of insulation that keeps you toasty.

This feels more like silk underwear. It is nicely made but thin. It will be a layer item rather than a stand alone.

I bought 2 of these to wear as a base layer. They're soft and light and warm. For any other purpose I would consider them flimsy. $99.50 would be an absurd price, even for Pendleton, but for $14.50, they're well worth it.

This sweater is very light-weight--good winter wear for Southern states. Only gave it 4 stars because one snagged after 2 wears. That may not be the sweater's fault--I have kitties. But know that you'll need to treat this sweater with care. At STP's price, worth the investment.

LOVELY wardrobe piece. Fine knit. lightweight, warm and washable, gossamer texture. Classic style. Can be very dressy or not.

I dunno about "refined top," per the item description, but this is definitely not a sweater. I wanted a thin, elegant sweater to layer under blazers for work. This is more of a long-sleeved teeshirt that you'd think was made out of cotton (which means the wool is nice and soft!). The seams, collar and hems are teeshirt-style. It'll work, but it's not the deal I thought I was getting. Also, be warned that the sizing differs from color to color. The deep green in small fit me the way I like (somewhat fitted across the chest and shoulders, but still a bit loose), but the orange was quite large. For reference, I'm about 5'7", 125 pounds, usually a size 2, but with somewhat broad shoulders.

quality base layer however beware that the fabric is quite thin and b/c it's cream colored it's also quite see through but I plan to wear this as a base layer under a vest. The weave is very tight and the merino wool feels high quality - like it will not ever pill.

This was beautiful and soft right out the package. I washed it and had a very funky smell while being washed. It did go away when it was dried. It did shrink more than other wool products I have bought. Might want to size up.
