these are my 2nd purchase of Pakems after my son outgrew his others. They are very comfortable and work well for going to and from the ski slopes. They fold easily into a backpack and don't take up much room. I think the description on Sierra Trading post may be a little misleading - I don't think they are meant to be worn as actual snow boots but as reasonably priced, comfy shoes that you can wear to/from winter sports and pack easily in your packback/locker.

Shoes are really light, and after only one hour outside, his feet were cold and soaked. Cute booties, but definitely not waterproof and not well insulated.

These leaked during a couple hours of walking around in short wet grass. I asked the manufacturer for pointers. They suggest a spray waterproofer.

My kids already used the markers that come with these boots and decorated them, so I am going to try the spray and keep them in our car for emergencies.

Bought these for my 10 year old. First pair disintegrated after a week. As they were very comfortable and he really liked them I returned them in the hope that this was a defect pair. However the 2nd pair fell apart within 2 days. Frayed around the toe to the extent that its just a matter of days before his toes pop through.
