This Jacket was everything I was looking for in a softshell, but nothing mattered because, even when I sized up from Small to Medium, the pits were way too tight and I was just wearing a tank top--no layers. Def not practical. Too bad.

I bought this jacket to use on a backcountry snowshoe trip. It served me well. We were crossing a mountain with temperatures in the teens and wind gusts in the 40s. The jacket blocked the wind and kept me warm. The hood stayed up and was easy to cinch down, even with heavy mittens on. Others in our group had trouble with their hoods and were not able to secure them as easily. This was a last minute purchase and I was skeptical as I had never heard of the brand (I did do some research before buying it), but went with it since it appeared to be what I was looking for and the price was right. I am very glad I did. It also kept me warm yesterday as I was shoveling the sidewalk when it was 5 degrees F!

I was afraid to order this jacket because of the reviews about the armholes being strange. When I first got it, I didn't know if I would keep it because of the fabric digging into my armpits. But, I found that the fabric stretches quite easily, and after a few times of gentle stretching, it is comfortable! It does run small; my size medium fits like a size small. The fabric and features are really nice quality - a great jacket for the price!

Excellent quality typical of rab but armpit sizing is way off; they are cut high and dig into your underarm, barely space for layering. Overall uncomfortable when moving arms around. Tried M and L (5'11" and 155lbs). Rest of the jacket was a perfect fit. Sad to return it.
