This boot is pretty good. I usually wear an 11.5 but I went up a half a size after reading comments that they run a little small. I found that with regular socks they do feel a little loose but thicker socks fills them out nicely. I wore them all weekend working on a steep hill and had no problems with grip. Good boot at a great price

The length was good, but then it got wide in the weirdest way. They are being shipped back as I write this.

So far so good with these boots. Leather design seems good but in a little concerned with where the upper meets the soul.

This is a well built boot, especially in light of the great price. Very good quality single piece main leather body being what I most appreciated. Because I know that makes for a very durable boot. The size runs large which was a relief for me, but there is one fatal flaw. The tongue, at the top end, is insufficiently wide for it to fall under the lacing hook features. This put a painful pressure point on my ankles. This was a show stopper for me so I returned the boots

Not sure how other people walk in hiking boots like this, but the soles are so stiff there was no way my son could have worn them. The best I can do to compare is to imagine dansko clogs if they didn't have the rocking motion. So, if that means comfort for you, great shoes, otherwise not a good choice. Will return.

I have put about 30 or 35 miles on these boots so far. Obviously I like them.

The fit and sizing are spot on. I always order hiking shoes a size up from my street shoe size. These fit exactly as I would expect a size 13 to fit me.

They were comfortable right out of the box, and there was never any pinching, rubbing or hotspots. They feel natural and comfortable and stable while walking in them.

Like any leather boot, you should expect a bit of a break in period. But it was easy with these boots. The ankles felt a bit stiff at first, but they softened up quickly. They never caused any pain or discomfort.

I especially like the roomy and protective toe box. One of the most important elements of a good hiking boot, IMO.

I also like the outsole design. The big wide lugs put a lot of rubber on the road, especially in the all-important heel-strike zone. These soles are clearly designed for long mileage and durability over maximum traction. I'll take that trade-off any time.

One potential weak point is the all-fabric tongue. I know that there is supposed to be a waterproof membrane in there, but there is also a lot of stitching which could -eventually- create an entry point for water. My solution was to apply a generous amount of Nikwax waterproofing paste wax to the fabric tongue and stitching as well as to the leather and other fabric panels on the boot. They are totally waterproof now - we'll see how long it lasts. I expect that they will be fine.

Bottom line: these are comfortable, sturdy, functional, no-nonsense boots at an attractive price. Recommended!
