I fit a UK12 so I purchased size 12 as it is a U.K. company. Pants arrived based on US size 12. Comically big. Too bad because they looked to be exactly what I wanted.

These pants are flattering, the stretch makes them as comfortable as leggings, but they look much nicer nice. I am a landscape consultant and I like to look professional even when I have to get dirty. These pants don't wrinkle or lose their fit by the end of the day. Plus, I love that the waist is a little higher so I don't worry about what shows when I have to bend over. I'm 5'3, 120lbs and the 4 short fit me perfectly. I would buy more even at regular cost if I could only find them.

Love them! The fit is good, the details are well done, even a key leash in the pocket and a lens cloth! For an outdoor worker, field biologist, birder, tropical ecologist, these are a great find.

It's very difficult to know what you're going to get with this manufacturer (or perhaps it's STP). I ordered 3 different pairs of these pants and had to return them all because of the sizing. They're listed on other sites as being UK/US sizes. I ordered according to the description on the page of STP's site. I ordered the first according to the UK/US size but they were huge! I ordered another pair according to the size indicated, but they were much too small. After the third pair came and were again huge, I gave up. I finally ordered from another vendor and, as described, they were an exact fit. I order from STP frequently, but I won't order another pair of Craghoppers from them.

the hips are extremely wide compared to the skinny legs. the buttons are very loose and open up themselves, one of the belt loops is attached by a snap and comes undone too easily... very strange fit for my body..

These are very nearly The Holy Grail of hiking pants: super comfortable, quick dry, cool, bug proof, and CUTE. Seriously they are so well cut.

However, the sizing is off and it might be a brand issue; I bought these in a 10 (my size-chart suggested size) as well as a different pair of Craghoppers, also in a 10. These ones were too big and the others were waaaay too big. I returned them and found these elsewhere in an 8, as STP was out, and I might even get away with a 6 now that they've stretched out some. For reference I am 5'4, 150ish lbs, 29" waist.

Anyway these are the only pants I want to wear when it's hot out now (better than shorts), keepsbarn flies and mosquitoes from biting me, and were very comfy for a recent weekend of 7 mile steep hikes. The waist is stretching out rapidly but a belt fixes that. Love!
