Sets up easily and is very spacious for how light it is. The pole assembly is less flimsy than in other tents that I've used

I used this for a family vacation.
It was easy to set up. It kept us dry, and insect free.

We've only spent three nights in this tent but have so far been very pleased with it for the price. It is light and compact for the price point while providing ample space for two (though it is advertised as a '3 person' tent) with spaceous sitting space and headroom at the taller end of the tent. The tent takes about 5 minutes to liesurely setup and everything is fairly simple with two identical poles (no fumbling around trying to figure out what goes where) and a short spreader. The two doors and vestibules are great preventing crawling over your partner and providing lots of storage space.

The only negative we have found is the triangular area at the top of the rain fly between the poles accummulates some water. Not enough to big a big problem but something to remain aware of. Also, keep in mind this really accommodates two people, not three. Hvaing said that, we feel this tent was a fantastic value and are very pleased with it.

I purchased this tent about 4-5 years ago and have used it for backpacking and camping all over the Western US. This has kept me dry in multiple torrential downpours (without doing any additional waterproofing, just the factory seam seals) and is light, easy to set up and extremely comfortable (by backpacking standards) for my dog, wife and myself. It has a vent on the top of the fly, a very small "gear loft" that can fit headlamps, phones etc. One of the underappreciated elements about the tent is the color. Many tents come in obnoxious loud colors, but the green/brown coloring on this practically blends right into most of the terrain in the mountains. Overall, I don't think you can beat the price to value ratio...I'm thinking about buying another one just to have in the future if mine needs replacement...but it doens't look like that will be anytime soon.

A note, this tent, like all tents, performs better when it is completely guyed out so don't expect peak performance if you don't use all of the guy lines.

I purchased this tent for my 3 sons in scouts. They were heading out for the weekend and ended up camping in a complete deluge. This tent for it's first use performed perfectly. Completely dry and my 12 year old was able to figure out how to put it up after 5 min. A good investment and I hope it will last for years.

Easy tent to set it up. Haven't gotten the chance to get it out in the elements yet, but looking forward to it. Going to be tough to fit 3 full size males in the tent, will be better to have two and a bag or two.

Roomy, with excellent head room, dry, and with lots of room under fly for gear.

This is a great tent for the price. I got a really good deal on this a few years ago on Sierra, but i still think it's worth the going price currently. The main thing that sold me on this versus other reasonably priced tents was the aluminum poles. They almost snap together by themselves. Setup couldn't be easier. I have been through numerous heavy rainstorms and never had any water in the tent. It fits two perfectly. With the addition on my 90 lb dog it gets a little tight, but is still doable. The double entry and vestibules are great for two.

Good headroom and light weight. We use this as a two man tent and with the fly serving to keep our gear dry, it is quite spacious. Dry in wet weather and well ventilated in dry, an excellent choice. Another plus: when my dog ate the zipper on the tent, Alps sold me a replacement for about $60! It would have cost much more just to have the zipper replaced.

We haven't used this yet, but we set it up in our living room and it sets up fast, seems good quality, and is a good size for me, my wife, and a 75 pound dog. Would fit 3 people too, though it would be cramped, with no room in the tent for packs. Probably worthwhile to get the footprint too.
