THESE SHOES ARE GREAT I JUST GOT THEM AND THEY ARE VERY HEAVY BUT THEY HAVE A STEEL SHANK IN THE MIDDLE WHICH MAKES THEM A LITTLE STIFF.

Haven't had them out on the trail, but i'm overall very pleased with the fit and build quality. Will update after a wintertime trip on Mt. Shasta this spring.

I love solo boots I have had several different pairs, I bought these after the Scarpa pair I bought that look similar were too wide around the ankle and never got tight, and they were really big overall. The one thing I noticed different about this pair compared to the sizing of the other asolo neutron-type shoes is these do run a little big. I noticed the all leather asolo boots run a have size small so I order 11 in those and the other synthetic run right on I wear 10.5, so i figured with these I might have to order 11 being mountaineer type boots but I ordered 10.5 and they are like an 11 which is perfect for bigger socks, or foot swelling after a long day. the fit is amazing, blew Scarpa away on my foot.

Got them on Friday and had them on the trail on Saturday in Vermont on a -30 day in fresh powder and they were fantastic. I had purchased some of the Asolo F95's for summer hiking and they have been great so I decided to try another line for winter. They fit like perfectly out of the box. I wear a 9+ and got the 9.5's, with heavy winter socks they are perfect. I would recommend adding a footbed but otherwise I found them to be true to size and very comfortable. Most mountaineering boots can be stiff and these do have some stiffness but not like plastics. Had them on for 10 hours without any problems, no hot spots no cold toes and my feet stayed dried. Wore them with snowshoes but didnt try crampons yet but they should be fine

To date the boots have been terrific. I finally wore out an old favorite pair and jumped into these. I have worn through a half dozen pair of Asolo approach shoes and these boots are just as good. Great support for my sometimes weak ankles. Very pleased

This is a great boot for Winter conditions. I have used them for snowshoeing and snow packed trail hiking. My feet were comfortable, neither to hot or to cold. The size is typical of Asolo, which fits perfect straight out of the box.

Exactly as described. This is my third pair of Asolos. They hold up for work (tree trimming) and play (fishing/hiking all over). Will definitely purchase again when these wear out.

I finally decided to replace my almost 30 years old Asolo hiking boots and ordered a couple of different pairs to try from STP. These were the beefiest and most technical, but fit perfectly from the moment I tried them on - just as comfortable as my long-lasting old pair of boots.
They do have a stiff shank in them (as they are winter mountaineering boots they need it for use with crampons) and that took me a couple of hours to get used to. I now have about 20 miles on them and they feel comfortable, supportive, and natural. These are a heavy duty mountaineering boot, though, so may not meet everyone's needs. I like the extra support and stiffness even though my days of climbing with ice axes and ropes are probably behind me. The lacing system is particularly good as it allows for an isolation of the forefoot from the ankle in terms of tightening laces.

Very happy with these and highly recommended
