Montrail Bajada 2 Trail Running Shoes (For Women)

Closeouts. With an old-school aesthetic and classic silhouette, Montrail's Bajada 2 trail running shoes feel like an old friend. An aggressively lugged Gryptonite® outsole provides excellent grip on rough terrain yet is low-profile enough to comfortably tackle pavement too.

So glad I got these shoes from Sierra Trading Post! The reviews others leave provide excellent recommendations and ease the uncertainty of ordering online without the benefit of trying on shoes. These shoes are very attractive, well-made and comfortable. They fit perfectly and hug my foot so nicely that it made me say "AHhhh" before I even took a step in them.

I normally wear a women's size 11 in Montrail, but these are running a little short and don't fit. Disappointed, and wish that STP would post both the US and European sizing when it's available. (These are Euro size 42, which is too small for me, as opposed to other Montrail US size 11, which are Euro size 43.)

These are my second pair of this exact style! I ordered a half size larger, I have bought this brand before and they run small for me. I have been running 20 mi/week and my shoes looked new after 2 months, they are flexible and offer great support for trail running. I am a beefier runner and I need good shoes, these are perfect for me! The removable foot bed is much thicker than other shoe brands also.

I have only run a few times in the shoe, max miles being 4, but they are a great fit for my narrow feet, and they are exceptionally light and comfortable. I did experience a little rub on the Achilles, so I don't know that they will serve as a high-mileage trail trainer. I am tempted to wear them as an everyday shoe, so for the price, they're a satisfactory light-duty shoe.

Overall these are great shoes and they have more toe protection than the Montrail FluidFeel shoes I've been wearing on the trails all summer. They seem to keep the moisture out as well. Not quite as cushioned as the FluidFeel, but still a good neutral cushioned trail runner. My only issue is just Montrail sizing being inconsistent. I wear a 9.5 street shoe and generally order a 10 in runners. In Montrail though a 9.5 fits fine. But the Bajada supposedly runs small so I ordered a 10. They fit and I don't think I would be comfortable down a half size. However, my heel does slip a bit as one other reviewer mentioned. I'm going to add an insole and wear thicker socks and I think they'll be fine. It's just that I'm never quite sure what size I'll need in a Montrail.

These were very sturdy shoes. I almost kept them except my heels slipped when I walked in them. I needed to return them.

These shoes fit great, and the cushion is nice. They could be just a pinch wider, but if I wear slim socks they're fine.

i was pleasantly surprised by these shoes. Had returned another style of Montrails, and they weren't available in my size- so tried this one. Lo and behold- they do great with rough terrain, are comfy with my orthotics. I'm very happy with the fit and sturdiness. They are carrying me through hikes and endless walks very nicely.
