Verified Buyer Reviewed by M from New York on Monday, September 26, 2016We are actually using it as a school bag. The extra space is handy for bulky winter clothes.
Reviewed by Dry Camp from AZ Desert on Saturday, September 17, 2016I liked the light weight and size, but no matter how I buckled it closed (roll forward, buckle; roll backward, buckle), with less than a full load, it would flop open relatively quickly. Needs a better closing system. You could clamp or pin it closed but...why not just buy a bag that closes better? If you travel with the bag loaded to capacity, then not a problem.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by skbwolf from CA on Thursday, July 28, 2016Lightweight and quite versatile design. Volume feels larger than 18L. The rolltop design allows slight adjustabilty on the volume. Super day hike bag or carry-around-town bag.
Reviewed by Jason from California on Tuesday, July 26, 2016This pack is ultra light and minimalist to the point that it has nearly no shoulder padding and the foam frame gives about zero support. This is fine if all you are carrying weighs as much as a change of clothes. Anything heavier makes the shoulder straps uncomfortable, and any solid objects can be felt poking you in the back.
Other than as an overnight bag (as in staying overnight at a friend's house), I can't think of any other uses for this pack.
