Hat was returned for 2 reasons: listed it as being wool, but label in the hat says polyester; construction of hat not compatible with being crushable. After speaking with customer service to arrange for a return I also found out that the name of the hat manufacturer was Weatherproof and the listing would give you the impression that weatherproof was a characteristic of the hat.

Purchased this hat based on overview description. This hat may be weatherproof (although I found out that Weatherproof is merelythe name of the manufacturer), but it is NOT crushable as advertised. Overview also states WOOL, yet label in hat states POLYESTER. Totally false representation and the hat is being returned.

Crisp, good looking hat, well made, just in time for winter weather. Holds shape well.

The hat is very nice looking, but we were looking for something which would be crushable and thus work better for travel. It fits too snugly for comfort.

Perhaps the person writing the description was having a bad day, the label say 100% polyester, not wool. I suppose one could crush it; however, I doubt it would be presentable the next time worn. It is fairly rigid and labeling does not state "crushable." I ordered both sizes because I usually wear a large, and "large" was in both sizing options. The M/L is really a medium, and the L/XL is really a large. It's also a bit taller than expected both sizes measured slightly over 5" from the bottom of the band to the highest point, not 4.5". I wouldn't say that it is travel friendly.

Although it's not wool, crushable or travel friendly, the reasons why I originally made the purchase. I still have not decided to return all of the hats. For the price, it's not a bad hat; I just need to adjust my expectations.
