Simms Waderwick Core Base Layer Pants - UPF 30+ (For Women)

Closeouts. Waders might stop the water, but they can't keep the cold out. Layer appropriately with Simms' Waderwick Core base layer pants, constructed of double-knit stretch fabric that keeps you dry and comfortable to help you get the most out of your fishing trip.

So far I love these base layer pants! They are the most comfortable base layers I have had. I didn't even notice I had them on. I just got them this spring for fisheries work on the Missouri River. I've only wore them twice and it was only about 30 deg so I can't say much about warmth in really cold weather. They will get their chance working in 8 degree trout streams and sub zero deer hunting this fall. So far they look like keepers. As far as fit, I bought a large. My pant size is 34x32 and I usually wear medium to large. They are a bit loose on the waist, but they stayed up and didn't bunch at all. I feel like a medium may have been too tight.

Great fit, warm enough to use as only next layer.

Love the base layer pants. I don't live in a very cold climat but these are still perfect for chilly nights.

It is tough to find base layers at a reasonable price, and which work. These seem to fit what I wanted: nothing fancy, and cheaper that pure silk (so I am a parent, and that is a luxury now--with two adolescents). Why these are good for fishing is a new one on me. I plan on wearing these under jeans on hikes, and for outdoor chores. They certainly fit the bill. I ordered a large (I am a straightforward M), because I wanted them not to fit skin tight. Probably should have gone with a Medium, but I will keep these because they do keep me warm, kind of in a way that I imagine a wet suit does: the air gets in but once you get going, they are great at keeping out the cold. Wish I got the medium but the large work fine.

Initially ordered an xl and returned for smaller size. They don't have very much elastic so you need them to fit tighter. Material looks great and feels wonderful.
