Browning Escalade Skinner Knife - Fixed Blade
Closeouts. Browning's Escalade Skinner knife is so pretty, you'll be tempted to never use it. But go ahead -- skin away. Get this deep-belly, drop-point blade dirty, bloody and hairy. The mirror-polished finish will pretty-up again in no time, thanks to the durable stainless steel construction.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by D. from Southeast USA on Monday, November 28, 2016It was a pleasure to review this knife recently (see "D." 's review). So, this review is all about STP's superlative and FAIR handling of an issue that required 'return for exchange' of this product. It is probably very unusual for any higher end Browning knife to have ANY fit, finish, design, or production quality issues. This has also been the case for mid-level Browning knives I've seen and handled. When the B. Skinner arrived there was a "step" mismatch where the jigged bone scale meets the SS beveled bolster. STP quickly sent out a proper replacement without flaws. A knowledgeable service person correctly processed an unusual accounting procedure and then issued a $5 gift credit towards future purchases. STP has always been efficient and more than fair when engaged in corrections and problems. They are quick to respond by email, chat, or telephone. Hats Off to STP.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by D. from Southeast USA on Monday, November 21, 2016The first example arrived showing a "step" between the bolster surface and the jigged bone scales. STP processed the exchange and sent out a flawless replacement. Browning's Escalade series knives are all designed by Russ Komer. Although they are "mass produced" and made in Taiwan the materials, fit, and finish are as good as it gets. I simply cannot find any fault with the design, choice of materials, or execution by the Taiwanese craftsmen. From the tapered full tang to the matching bolsters dovetail mated seamlessly against the lovely jigged bone scales this Browning E-Series can almost pass for an original handmade Komer knife (admittedly I've never personally seen or handled an R.K. original). Even the leather sheaths are much nicer than one might expect at the retail price point. When the significant STP discount (and balanced proper fair customer service) are factored in these BE series knives are truly a bargain. RUN don't walk to get one while still available from STP. Rest assured that you will not be disappointed in any way. Gift one to that special male or female friend without hesitation. NOTE: The sheaths exude understated stylishness, tasteful tooling, and great fit - they are as nice as the knives are; there is enough non tooled space available for personalization or customization.
