Great shorts at a great price. They are just long enough so no chafing. They stay put but without looking and feeling as though I have a rubber band around my thigh. Well padded but don't look like a diaper. They do seem to run slightly larger than my other PI stuff...usually I have to order up one from my usual size and that wasn't really necessary.

These are comfortable but be aware the whole waist is very low, not just the front

The waist on these, without a drawn string and the low cut make these totally unacceptable.

I bought the Pearl Izumi's SELECT Escape Texture bike shorts on closeout. I got a great price! It's fun to wear the shorts knowing they had a $70 price tag but I didn't pay that!

I bought these to use on the stationary bike. They are way more comfortable with the padded seat/crotch than shorts without the padding. They need tugged up to fit over my thighs 18w and are loose in the waist. They wash well, are a cute color (turquoise) and work for my needs. I would try another brand the next time to see if the fit is the same.

I bought a pair of the SELECT and one of the Pearl Izumi Attack shorts at the same time...I am a medium, and the Attack shorts fit fine, but the SELECT were too tight, plus the low waist made me feel like my tummy was hanging down instead of being supported. Also they were too tight in the legs (and I have thin legs), which was unflattering and uncomfortable. Maybe they would work in a size up, but I am returning the SELECT pair and keeping the Attack shorts.

These are OK for the trainer indoors but definitely not for a longer ride. Edge of leg is a lumpy seam, not smooth fit. Trying to figure out if lower edge was meant to fold back and show inside color but these are already plenty short without making them shorter. Waistband is uncomfortable in the front and overlapping layers don't stay flat. Multiple seams cause fabric to bunch into vertical lines. Wanted cheap for the trainer, but not sure I can tolerate tourniquet effect of seam at leg edge. Size is true, just bad fit.
