These are nice looking, but are cut weird. I purchased them as an alternative to men's long board shorts. I am a pear, 5'6" and 147lbs size 8/10 in pants. I carry my weight in the rear and thighs, all the way to my 16in calves. I ordered a XL, and they just fit in the legs and are a little tight on the calves. The problem is, my waist is 29 and hips 38. Therefore the XL is big for those areas. Luckily, there is an internal drawstring tie that will hopefully keep them up. I haven't worn them in the water yet, so I'm hoping they aren't going to be see though, as they have a white base color. I am keeping them, and hope they work out for me. The colors are fun!

I was super excited about these pants for sun protection on sunny day paddles and a little bit of wind protection on cooler days. I love prana but bottoms are hit or miss for me. Sometimes I am an 8, sometimes a 10 and occasionally I can even wear a 6. I ordered a size up (to L) hoping that the waist would be comfortable but they do hit at a funny spot sort of in the "muffin top zone" as another reviewer put it. Not sure whether they are worth keeping or not.

I had hoped that by ordering an XL I could use these, but they are too slim and short-waisted for me. Cute design. I think PrAna may not be a good brand for me.

I'm an avid paddler and got these for sun protection and a little bit of extra warmth on cooler paddle days.
These pants seem cute but the waist hits at kind of a funny spot - like the muffin top zone. If they are anything like normal bathing suit bottoms they might stretch out after a few uses so I might keep them and see how it goes.
