Very nicely made with good materials. Not super warm or insulated, but with a bit of a lining for cooler weather (probably good to around 50 without layering). Obviously, a great, great deal for the price

My husband has had several barn coats and this one by far is his favorite. Comfortable, large enough (2XL) that he can layer underneath if necessary. Does not restrict movement in any way. Pockets are nice and roomy. Great purchase at an even greater price!

Looks good and is mostly comfortable.
    Very durable.
Buttons are very sturdily held on.
    Not waterproof or water repellent.
One layer of canvas, no insulation. So ok to about 55 degrees. Dry weather at 60 degrees would be perfect weather for this jacket.
Inside sleeves is nylon so feels cold and tacky with any moisture inside or out (Aka rain or sweat). Best worn with long sleeve shirt.

How often do you purchase something this is totally perfectly conceived and created? The 1816 Canvas Barn jacket is a flawless acquisition for the casual wardrobe, the perfect weekender coat, made for the casual lifestyle. Throw it on for a stop at the hardware store, the pub, visit to a horse show, country fair, coffee with a friend, and just being a dude. It is actually fairly of moderate weight, nylon and cotton, with an attractive dark plaid lining. Sleeves run 34/35, which fits me perfectly, but was a little surprising for an XXL, which would typically have 36/37 sleeves. The longer 3/4 jacket length will be appreciated on rainy or snowy days. Warning: This is not a heavy duty chore coat: barbed wire would chew it up in a flash. So don't mistake it for heavier canvas chore and hunting jackets. But it is a casual masterpiece, with elegant and thoughtful detailing. Obscenely terrific STP pricing. Boy am I happy with this one!

I love this coat. Fantastic fabric and styling. A little heavy, but expect it to soften up with washing. Really well made. I think the sizing runs a little small. Need more room in a work jacket.
