I have been wanting a waxed canvas jacket for a while now, but I wanted something that would last forever and not cheaply made. I found this jacket for an amazing price on here, read some reviews, and ordered it. And [...] is this a good jacket. The material is heavy without looking like its pulling me down (I'm 5'10 230 lbs and got an XL). The jacket fit perfectly, has great pockets, the cordoruy on the color and inner sleeve is a great touch, and it looks great. My only complaint is that, while it is really cool, the pocket on the back can make the jacket look a little more bulky than it is.

This jacket can't be beat for the price. Heavyweight ripstop fabric that will last for years and doesn't have that chemical smell that most waxed jackets have. The only drawback is that it's missing hand-warmer pockets. As soon as I put it on, I naturally tried to put my hands in the side pockets and was surprised there weren't any there.

I am very pleased to have found this waxed cotton jacket. The fit is true to size and it is well-made. This is a bargain at one tenth the cost of competing brands.

The jacket is made from heavy waxed canvas, fits and feels as it should, and it does have an outdoorsy look I like. The commodious sleeves are lined with nylon, so it goes on and off nicely. My main complaint has to do with pockets. There is a large external pocket on the back that accommodates maps, reading matter, etc., but there should be hand-warmer pockets tucked behind the main flapped side pockets, and there should be an inside chest pocket for a wallet or traveling documents.

Great jacket with vintage style and charm. Think Filson, etc. jacket is stiff gridwax cotton. Feels durable and tough. You would easily pay several hundred dollars for this jacket if you bought it retail. What a steal! Pair it with an 1816 by Remington vest, and you're in business through the fall and into winter.
