this is a quality tea kettle (we've gone through 2, so I'm learning more than I figured necessary :) the purple color is a lovely addition to the kitchen, I like the filter behind the spout that can be removed and cleaned, and it heats a large amount of water quickly

Here's what we wanted: an electric kettle with automatic shut off that didn't dribble, wasn't ugly and didn't cost a ton. We got it. We put up with a more costly kettle's dribble for years, making sure there was always something under it to catch the water flowing down the side no matter how we held the kettle. We chose the purple Chantal and it's a lovely, deep version of purple. After making tea & coffee numerous times a day not a single dribble. Yay!

I can't comment on the functionality of the kettle because I didn't even plug it in. I bought the dark gray one and it looks lovely. However, its base takes up too much counter space - much more than my previous kettles, so I'm sending it back.

This holds 52 oz. of water. It is big. Storage may be hard for some kitchens. It is a great water heater and it is easy to clean.
The cleaning instructions are a big help to keep this product functioning at a high level.

This is a nice looking electric kettle. It replaces another brand that I've had for many years which had some issues. The pour spout allows you to concentrate the hot water stream--my other one was too broad so I'd get more spill-over than I liked. The top is easy to remove and fill. I heats water quickly and is relatively quiet but gives enough auditory feedback that you know it's boiling before it turns off. I like the indicator light to show that it's actually set correctly on the base and is working before you leave it to do it's job. It's very attractive on the counter top and easy to keep clean. The handle allows a variety of pouring angles without having to adjust your grip. Pricewise, it's discounted (not full price) enough that I felt it worth the coin.
