These running shoes are lightweight and comfortable. They are pretty close to a "barefoot runner" type of shoe, but they have a little padding.

I bought the first pair from a local running store at a pre race expo. Super blow out price enticed me to by NB. I hadn't run in NB for a few years. These have the racing flat feel, a soft cushioned ride, but still feel fast and responsive.

I was surprised at how lightweight these shoes are. They are straightforward neutral shoes with a soft landing. They are not overly cushioned and I would have preferred less road feel on some rough sidewalk. But on smoother surfaces, they were fine. I would love them on my normal softer path (mix of asphalt and dirt). Second thing is that the big mesh toe is an airscoop. I bought them in winter and my feet were cold running in them. I think that in warmer weather, they'd be very comfortable. Fit was fine for a 11.5 EE using custom orthotics.

I have been running in the NB Zante for over a year now and really like them (except the tongue is to short). I decided to try out the NB Zante V2 to see if they were as good (hoping the tongue would be longer, it is not). Overall I like the feel of the shoe, plenty of cushion & flexibility. They soles are supposed to last longer than the Zante, I hope so as I only get about 200 miles on them. ( the reason I mention the tongue is that I am a triathlete and when you are trying to get them on during transition it is very hard to get the tongue flat on your foot). If you are just running in them this won't make a difference.

I love these shoes! They are the second version of this New Balance model and I have run a lot in both of the, from fast training runs to races. They are light and responsive, with great road feel and ride. I use them for any run, but especially longer tempo runs, where they "shine" due to their speed and cushioning. I also have run races from 5k all the way through my PR half marathon: after debating many different shoes, I went with these and was very impressed! Their color is bright so I feel safe in them as an extra way to make me visible to cars. They are good on road and smoother trail (I would not use them for trail running). I also like that they still have a 6 mm drop, so they're not totally flat. The ride is very neutral, which is perfect for fast runs. If I had to choose one shoe that can do just about anything, these would be on my list. They are terrific.
