Update - I took this tent to Great Sand Dunes National Park for 3 days. Granted, we had a strong thunder storm that turned to hail, but I had seam sealed all of the exposed seams from the outside (just read I should have done it from the inside) and I still got some water in one corner. It wasn't a lot, but this was the 1st time I took the tent out and I even went through extra precautions to keep dry. The tent was still a deal at $45 the time I bought it, but I wouldn't pay $80. I've probably made up the difference trying to water proof this tent! If you look at the corners, the stitching leaves some holes where the water crept in.

I have only set this tent up at home so far but based on reviews and where the failures clearly are, I will seam seal all of the exposed areas that have not been factory taped. I often go backpack camping so I am familiar with the lightweight materials typically used in these tents. This tent has a thinner material than the typical REI tent, for example. The fiberglass poles are also heavy. But for the price ($45!), I will use a tarp when car camping and distribute the weight if going backcountry.

Great tent, easy for a 1 man setup. Quality materials. Only wish the tent floor was made of a tougher/thicker material, it feels like the same material as the rest of the tent, but I guess that's what tarps are for. In summary, very easy to set up and very roomy for 2 persons, highly recommend.

Great tent! Love how it has access/egress on both sides of the tent, a mirror image for both parties to utilize.
