Customer Reviews Of:
Therm-a-Rest Trail Pro Sleeping Pad - Self-Inflating

Closeouts. We get it. Roughing it during the day is all fine and dandy, but a little extra comfort at night can make all the difference in your backpacking experience. You'll be glad you have Therm-a-Rest's Trail Pro sleeping pad, with its insulating, self-inflating foam for cushioned support in a lightweight, easy-to-carry package.

The mattress I received is not a trail pro. I thought the deal was too good to be true, and it is. I believe the may is the "Base Camp" which is heavier and has a larger packed dimension. Definitely not great for backpacking. Contacted customer service and they said it must be a typo on the site. Only leaving this review because it seems they haven't made the correction to the description or the photos.

Make sure you read warnings about pictures. The item shown is a newer Trail Pro model, while the one on closeout is an older one. The only real difference is the shape. The one shown tapers, and is more narrow at the foot. The one delivered has 90 degree corners.

I am happy with it; I always expect some variation when ordering closeouts on products that change design every 3-4 years. This will serve will for my wife/kids use in the BWCA this spring/summer.

It is narrow enough to fit in the Junior Canoeist CCS portage pack. Will either partially unroll to create a pseudo frame or completely unroll to create barrel out of the pad and stuff other gear inside, then inflat pad after pack is full to fill in extra space.
