Since most people just say "fits snug" or "too large" without giving details...I'm 5'11", 215#, and a little bit of a belly. Based on previous Timberland shirt purchases, I went with an XL. It fits well for me. Another reviewer mentioned that it "pulls" in the back when moving around...that's because there are no underarm gussets or pleats in the back. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see that the back is plain. This means it can feel a little more snug in the shoulders when you move around...that's normal.

As for the material, I went with the "bright cobalt" and LOVE the color. Also keep in mind that it is described as "lightweight cotton"...and it is! It's rather thin but, will make for a wonderful summer shirt. Also, since it is 100% cotton, it does have a tendency to wrinkle...but, being thin, it takes just a slight touch of the iron and you're good to go.

Over all, I like the shirt and would recommend it...just be aware of the no pleats and thin material. If that's what you're after, I think you'll enjoy it too.

The fabric feels light and easy to move around in. The fit is good, but on the wide side. I know Timberland's shirts tend to run somewhat smaller so I ordered an XXL. I have broad shoulders, a larger chest and 6 ft 3, so I am usually stuck between sizes. Maybe XL would have been better.

Very nice looking shirt, comfortable material. BUT the fit is really odd. The body of the shirt fits well but the sleeves are really small and seem to be sewed on in an odd way. The sleeves seem to have a LOT of taper to them. If I move my arms forward, the sleeves get really tight and the shirt really pulls across the back. Same when lifting my arms. With my arms just hanging at my sides, the sleeves are still tight. I would skip on this shirt of you have arms that are even slightly bigger than average.
