Footbed is well shaped but hard. Insole is uncushioned. So, it feels like I'm wearing a wooden shoe. Yet though the soles of my feet are sore, the fit and quality is so good I'm going to keep them and toughen my feet. Ha

I used these to walk in Italy about 8 to 10 miles a day right out of the box and they were great. Probably the best shoe I have ever worn and I am on my feet a lot. Use these shoes for work in a pretty athletic and educational setting. They are both comfortable and nice looking plus you can take them on a hike when the time comes.

Toe box seemed a little tight to begin with but once I loosened the front laces the toe area opened right up and has stayed that way.

Looks like a great shoe. However online info on sizing was not accurate. One version of Belorado was listed in UK sizes. The other version didn't specify so I assumed it was also in UK sizes. Not so, ordered 11 and got US size 11. Returned and ordered 11 for other version, still listed in UK sizes. Again got US size 11. Rechecked website again and it was no longer listed in UK sizes. Major confusion and wasted some money on returned shipping costs. As a longtime STP customer this was first time I've had any complaints about customer service.

This is an all leather shoe, by Hans Wagner, that's where the name comes from. It is European made and is on par with Lowa , only they fit me better. I'm a nine in street shoes and a 9.5 in these. Had a pair several years ago and they were my favorite approach shoes. You could approach most anything in them in style and comfort and often I carried a light pack or shotgun. They aren't Goretex which means they will leak if wet enough but when it's not raining, they are cooler than GT. For urban sneakers or tactical work, they are most excellent.
