I've been looking for a good water sandal for hikes that include stream crossings and finally found a winner! They are very grippy, fit beautifully, don't have too high an arch, but provide support. They fit as expected and feel VERY solidly made,

Bought shoes for girlfriend. Using them for whitewater rafting , and SUP trips. She loves Merrells and these wont dissapoint. Been on multiple outings and she is all smiles as the shoes are great in the water and on land. They look great also. Wish they had 13 for me. Fit true to size.

Got these to replace my keen river sandals. The keens are way to smooth for getting grips on muddy clay river banks. Also my keens gather debris that won't rinse out. The merrel has great lugs for grip. The sides come up some from the sole so I'm hopeful the pebble-gathering will be solved, too. Feels wide, needs good bit of cinching to fit, wider than other merrels I've had.

I really like these water shoes...they are so cute, that I don't want to get them wet (or dirty!)! M

I haven't worn these in the water yet so can't testify about how well sand pours out.
The sole has a relief pattern which grips the bare foot so you don't slide forwards and the heel doesn't chafe -- I had worried about this but so far so good.
Merrell has a wide footprint which suits my wide foot. True to size.

I have Merrell hiking boots and absolutely love them. But companies should better start considering what plastics from China are used in their goods .

The sandals themselves are probably okay, they look very nice indeed, though I disliked that "toothy" insole surface that another reviewer also mentioned.

But I absolutely refuse to wear on my bare skin something that smells so toxic even after airing outside for a week. Returned.

Just got these shoes and they are great. Comfortable for walking and easy on easy off. The only complaint I have is the gripper bumps on the insole begin to bother my tender feet after wearing them awhile. Also I had to go up 1/2 size as Merrell's seem to run a bit short.

I was so so so excited thrilled to see these available again in the size and color (Red&Pink) that I needed and wanted. !!!
But unfortunately when they came in I just couldn't figure out the newfangled contraption that rigs up the, well... what would normally be laces. ??? What's wrong with simple shoe string laces? Have we seriously become that lazy? Other than that they seem very well made cute as a button ... ( now there's an idea ) and of course being from Sierra Trading Post...the price is just right... :) Well I let the engineers with a PHD have a go at it instead... I'll stick to the dummy way.. laces

Very comfortable right out of the box. Great for walking in the rain or just walking around doing errands. They are more blue than purple.. Nice closure to tighten up.
