I bought 4 for the family to have their own. These are great! Love the price and small size, and also lightweight. We will look forward to using these at golf tournaments, sports events and travel/camp/hiking.

This compact camp stool but is very functional. It doesn't take up any room and fits nicely in it's storage bag. I also use it next to my cot to put my flashlight and vitamins on. The shape of the top keeps things from rolling off.

I bought a couple of these in blue 5-6 years ago from Sierra Trading Post. As backpackers who are now over 50, we appreciate the luxury items like inflatable sleeping pads and these camp stools, and are willing to each carry 40-50 lbs to have some creature comforts (even canned wine!). At 2 lbs each, they are not for the ultra-light types, but they are always one of the first things to be broken out when we set up camp, and the last things to be broken down. So convenient, easy to set up, sturdy, and the shoulder strap (though we've never used them that way) would be handy to sling over your shoulder for a day at the beach, etc. They have been on many trips over the years, and I would totally trust them to hold a 200+ pound person. My boyfriend is about 185 lbs, and although he'd probably prefer it to be a little taller, he is completely comfortable sitting on one.

Great buy, great price, quality brand. Now that we have them, I can't imagine backpacking without them!

This a replacement for an old worn-out but similar stool that has a permanent place in my truck. Very handy to have something to sit on while putting on ski boots, snow shoes, crampons, hiking shoes, etc. I also use in my tent when camping as it's a lot easier to get dressed when you have something to sit on. This ALPS model is very sturdy - I bought four of them, one for myself and three as gifts.

This is not my first try-legged camp stool, my original stool has endured at least 100hrs of sitting in the field and while it hasn't bit the dust yet, I felt it was time to have a back up. I love the luxury of sitting in a stool while camp cooking so much that i'm almost always willing to sacrifice the added weight of a stool. This stool is very sturdy and seemed like the best of the ones offered on STP right now but it does weigh more than my previous one, I'm curious if the strap around the legs actually leads to extended lifespan.
