Spot Push-to-Mute Dog Toy
Closeouts. When your pup loves squeaky toys and you, not so much, compromise with Spot's Push-to-Mute dog toy. A tug strap with button lets you control the squeak by leaving the button exposed for noisy chewing and squeaking, or pushing it through the opening when it's time for a little peace and quiet.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nebraska Climber from NE on Wednesday, January 4, 2017So, this toy is kind of amazing. I ordered it thinking that the "push to mute" feature was a interesting novelty that probably would fail, but the bone would be worth chewing for my crazy pup, who can destroy a fuzzy toy in a matter of minutes and loves to leave bits of tennis balls, plastic bottles, and anything short of a kong in pieces. What I was not expecting its that the toy is pretty ingenious; the push button actually works. The toy is a good size and very durable. What I forgot was that my pup hates webbing. He hates it with a passion. (He is not allowed anywhere near our climbing gear.) Upon receiving the toy, he immediately attacked the strap, which goes through the mute button. He chewed through it in a few minutes, and the mute function was disabled until we were able to thread the now-broken strap back through the button. He continued to attack the toy's vulnerabilities, however, rather than chew the squeaky bone itself, and so tore through the mute button's rubber loop, where the strap attached. With the loop destroyed on the button itself and the webbing destroyed, the button is pretty much a moot (pardon the pun) point. But, if he takes to chewing on the bone, the dog will find he still has a pretty great toy!
