Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ken Rank from KENtucky on Thursday, November 2, 2017I have been an avid hiker for 20+ years. Generally on a more limited income, I have steered clear of the $200+ shoes. I have had some nice hiking shoes over the years and I have to say that at least for the first few uses, the Trezeta's are at least as good as the Merrill Moab's I had. The Trezeta's were a little stiff and first and the break in time seemed a little longer than others. However, these are VERY well made, tight and made to last. If you go with the "Adventure Hiking Boots" know they cover the ankle fairly high, which I like because I have had weak ankles in the past and like the extra support. But if you don't, you own't like these.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by SRA from Colorado on Thursday, June 29, 2017I like the fit of Trezeta, and these fit my medium/wide foot. However, the lacing architecture is very poor-- the tensioning points are too low to hold the ankle firmly and the top rivets used for tightening are metal, and weak metal at that. One of the top lacing eyelets broke and the upper eyelet rubbed directly on my ankle bone.
Had to return them, unfortunately. The boots are light and did fit well. Regretable about the lacing system.
Reviewed by Fly Fisherman from NJ on Saturday, May 27, 2017I've been wearing these boots for a few months now. Took 2 weeks to get used to the seam on the outside ankles, but now they've become my go-to boots. Warm enough in winter snow, yet cool in warm spring weather. Insoles are holding up well. The boots are waterproof. Do yourself a favor and hit them with waterproofing. The boots are very light and are now very comfortable, and at a great price.

Reviewed by Fly Fisherman from NJ on Thursday, March 16, 2017I've been wearing these boots for only 2 weeks. They are comfortable and light. The ankle padding was stiff at first, but it didn't take long for either the padding or my ankles to acclimate. The only reason that I gave these boots 4 stars and not 5 is that the soles aren't solid enough for me. I like a stiff sole, one that doesn't flex easily and one that protects the soles of my feet. I wear hiking boots almost every day. I walk on stones and tree roots, and I feel it in these boots. I'm comparing them to my last pair of Asolo's. That being said, the insoles in the Trezeta Adventures are comfortable and soft and feel good as long as I'm not walking on imperfections on rocks or other hard objects. If I were to redesign these boots, I'd make a couple of changes. I'd stiffen the sole and I would move the lace lock down one set of eyelets or add another just below where they are now. I'm finding it difficult to lock my foot in place to keep it from sliding forward on downhills. If the lace locks were lower, it would work much better. I've found the waterproofing and the vent to work well. And I've tested them both. All in all, not a bad boot for the price.
