This is a good camping chair for people looking for more than the usual three legged stool. But... do be aware that the side plastic sprockets can crack under a lot of weight. Not suitable for people more than 160lbs or so.

I bought this chair instead of the $80 and $120 competitors. I was pleasantly surprised. It weighs about 2 pounds and is a little larger that a 1 liter water bottle. This one has sand feet so it is less likely to sink in soft ground. It also sits higher than the competitors. I wish I'd bought 2. I'd give it 5 stars, but the expensive competitor only weighs 1 pound.

Just ordered a second one, great quality! Surprisingly comfortable! You have to stretch the fabric for the first time you assemble it, so it's really hard to attach. After you sit in it, the material stretches, and goes on in a jiffy every time thereafter. I almost returned the first one before doing this, thinking I'd have to wrestle with it every time, but it's perfect now.

Roomy and comfy. Higher than I tough it will be. Easy to assemble. Yes you can open it with one hand. Putting the seat fabric can be tricky but not a big deal. However, I ave not taken it out in the field yet.

I've always been jealous of the rock climbers at the crag sitting in these chairs. Now that I own one I've transformed from a peasant into a rock god. Would recommend if you want to climb in style.

Fairly easy to set up and take down, seems to be sturdy but haven't taking it out yet camping. Pretty light and price is great compared to some other lightweight camping chairs

I read other reviewers state that their chair broke, I should have listened! After setting it up in my living room and sitting on it for the first time, sure enough, it was in pieces. I am not a large man so this did not hurt my ego, just my pocket book.

I just ordered my second Joey Camp Chair. These are very comfortable.
I also have a Therm-a-rest Treo chair which is nice, but it takes longer to set up and it cuts the circulation off on your legs.
The Joey Chair does not do this. It is also a very stable chair. I have not tested it in the sand to see how the larger footprints of the legs act, but I suspect that they will do well. The height of the chair is really good and it is really stable.
It also comes in 2 pieces, the frame and the mesh/fabric seat. The frame is shock corded and can be put together rather quickly. It takes a little longer to put the seat on the frame and you need to make sure that the tag is on the bottom.
Although I love this chair, I am only giving it 4 stars, because you have to take a little time collapse it and get the frame into the carrying bag. I also suspect that if you don't put it in correctly, the frame may bend.
