Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sam from San Francisco on Monday, November 28, 2016A fairly aggressive shoe when sized down. It is not particularly sensitive. The forefoot rubber is quite thick and rigid. But it performs quite well for sport routes. Feels like a mix between the testarrossa and anasazi lace. My street shoe is 12. I wear 41.5 in muiras (rather tight) and I went with 42 in these. They were initially quite painful but stretched well in a warm shower.
Reviewed by Jack C. from Depends on the season on Tuesday, November 15, 2016Full disclaimer: I haven't tried them out on rock yet. The sole (hah, shoe pun) purpose of this "review" is a comment on sizing: I wear an 11 or 11.5 street shoe usually and a 12 (46) mountain boot. I purchased the size 10 (43) for the Scarpa instinct lace and, while they do still vacuum on when I slip into them, I could comfortably (that's a relative term regarding climbing shoes, mind you) have gone smaller for a more performance fit. Either way they'll work out for harder trad face climbing but I can expect I'd want them smaller for really technical sport climbing and bouldering, neither of which I do much of anyways. Hope that helps you purchase the right size.
