I hike a lot and needed a new pair of shoes when I am doing shorter hikes and don't want boots on. No break in. Very comfortable and room in toe. Nice looking and great value.

Right out of the box it was clear that these hikers would not work for me. Sole extremely stiff and with no inside padding whatsoever. One step and it felt like I was walking on boards. Just no. I currently have a pair of Salomon Ellipse Aero (not waterproof) hiking shoes but they are two years old and just about shot. I was looking to replace them with a good quality, low profile, waterproof hiking shoe but this is not it. Going back. Do not recommend.

These Scarpas were comfortable right out of the box. Although they're waterproof, I didn't find them overly hot hiking in Idaho summer heat. Great all-around light hikers that also look good for around town wear.

These hiking shoes are light and comfortable right out of the box. The toe box is roomy enough but not too huge and the fit is perfect. I normally wear a 9 regular (occasionally a 9.5) and the 41 fit was perfect. I hope they last a long time!

I purchased these Scarpa hikers because I was looking for a waterproof "low-rise" hiking and walking shoe for the warmer months. I needed a firm shoe due to a bad right ankle . These shoes did not disappoint. They have a great tread, and supportive upper without being too stiff. I've not had any problems with pinching or rubbing, even with mild (but chronic) enlargement around my ankle joints from scar tissue. My husband owns a pair of Scarpa hiking boots and he likes them so much I thought I would give these a try. I'm glad I did. I will mention that these don't have a super cushy memory-foam-like interior liner. If you want a soft insole, these shoes might not be for you. This shoe does not have a wide toe box like keen or (some) Merrell shoes. However, if you have an average to narrow foot, these will work for you. Great looking, super gripping bottom and an upper that (so far) has minimized ankle rolling.

I really liked this shoes, but it was too tight over the metatarsals on my left foot with my insoles. The actual insoles are very thin so even adding superfeet insoles were too thick. The shoe itself had great tread, was a good looking shoe, and was very supportive. I had to send them back, but they seemed like they were going to be really good shoes!

These shoes were a bit narrow in the forefoot and the top of the tongue dug into the front of my ankle.
