Reviewed by Paul from New Hampshire on Wednesday, November 15, 2017I have owned many hemostats over the years and these are my favorites, hands down. I really like the large finger openings which facilitate both applying pressure on the business end of the hemo and ease of use, especially in cold weather with or w/o gloves. Excellent product.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by FlyFisher1 from Bend OR on Thursday, March 30, 2017The large size and multiple finger grip on one side makes grabbing and using these hemostats much easier than the usual variety. I had been using small needle nose pliers which are heavier, more awkward to grip and easier to drop in the drink. These are a little stiff, but that should smooth out after, one hopes. releasing increasing numbers of fish.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jim, the Crazy Winter Fly Fisher from Colorado on Tuesday, March 21, 2017Having large hands (unlike Trump) most hemostats are too small for my fingers. This one has a big opening that big hands can fit through. Also it has a slip proof coating and the metal is a bit more heavy duty for crushing barbs or bending hooks. It's a great buy for such a well designed hemostat.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jim, the Crazy Winter Fly Fisher from Colorado on Wednesday, March 15, 2017Most hemostats I have used have finger holes that are too small for my fat fingers. This one has a big loop for all my fingers. The coating is also great as it prevents the hemostat from slipping out or your hands and into the water. It also is made of heavier metal so that you can squeeze down hook barbs or bend hooks with no problem. Is also has jaws that are pointy enough to unhook really small flies. Great design and functionality.
