If you've ever worn or picked up anything Carhartt, then these are what you'd expect. Thick, kinda rough feeling denim. Not a bad thing, these are work jeans, very durable feeling, not your broken in comfy Levi's. Fit true to size, I have thick thighs so they could use a little more crotch room for me, but that's just me. I like the color, not your standard solid color dad jeans, they're slightly striated dad jeans. 4 stars instead of 5 for dad jean look.

I ordered 2 pair of them. These Carhartt's have a good cut and fit, and a unique "weathered" look. But the weathering must have removed about 80% of the "hefty 12.5 oz." denim material. I inspected both pairs before trying on. The first pair had 2 holes completely through the material high in the seat area above the back pockets. They were going back immediately. The 2nd pair had some 'weathering' lines that were almost white in color at the same area, but no visible holes. I washed them (hate wearing new jeans without doing that), and wore them one day at work (casual dress in a sales job, not physical). By the end of the day, those weather lines had begun to split open and another round area of weathering had turned in to a hole going completely through the material. These types of material failure go beyond "2nds." They are junk and should have been rejected completely. Am returning both pairs. Sad, because they looked good on otherwise.

Material seems thinner and comfortable, but didn't have the durability I need. They didn't fit me very well and I returned them. Just not for me.
