La Sportiva TX3 Approach Shoes (For Women)

Closeouts. One pair of shoes to do it all! La Sportiva's TX3 approach shoes have a wide forefoot fit, supportive footbed and lugged outsoles for comfort and stability on the trails to and from your climbing spot. And, thanks to the sticky Vibram® rubber outsole and toe rand, there's no need to change shoes for the climb itself.

They run large by half a size, I usually wear them with medium thick hiking socks to prevent blisters. Breathable lining, light weight and very confortable.

This is my second pair of these great shoes. The rubber is sticky, the shoe is surprisingly comfortable right out of the box, little to no break in period, and I have climbed 5.6-5.7 in them depending on the style of rock. The shape is perfect for people with a wide forefoot (or people like me with messed up skier/climber feet).
    Only real downsides are:
    A) laces seems to persist in coming untied and a square knot is the only thing that seems to hold them reliably.
    B) the upper material (by virtue of being light weight and well ventilated) isn’t super burly and I tore through my first pair in about a year. Admittedly, they were worn about 150 days in that year, and my husband’s leather uppered version has held up nicely.

Love these. They are wider which is great for me so I can wear a thick sock for our cold winters. Very good traction and fun design.

Great shoes. Not sure why you were missing a size though... you seem to have 1/2 sizes throughout but for the 8.5 ( maybe you ran out?....
I got the 9 and it will be good with thicker socks. Otherwise the shoes themselves are Very comfy.

I was recommended La Sportiva by a fellow hiker who has had her hiking sneakers for over 2 years and has used them almost weekly for 2 years and the soles look great.
When I got my TX3's, I had gotten a size too big, and the Customer Service was so helpful in helping my exchange for the smaller size. I received the replacement shoes in less than a week. I've taken 2 fairly strenuous hikes and my feet were comfortable the whole time - no blisters or soreness. They are also extremely light.
I look forward to using them on local hikes along with an upcoming trip to Sedona. AZ.
