Love these pants, and the price! The fabric is amazingly waterproof - I spilled oil-based salad dressing on them and it beaded right off with no stain. The color is cool too - nice mix of pink/red. True to size - I'm 5'6, 150 lbs and the size 8's fit perfectly.

If they weren't too long I would have kept these pants, the fabric felt great. Not only were they too long but the fit was just overall bulky looking. Since they're for hiking I don't really care how I look, comfort most important & these felt good. Just didn't look so good on me.

This pant is very good for backpacking. It seems that this is the best quick-drying pant of Arc'teryx. I use this in Grand Canyon. It's perfect. And STP helps me save a lot!!!

Unfortunately, they fit like a glove. Will need hemming but better than too short. Arc'teryx is a great brand and these should work well for every day use (I'm a nurse) as well as hiking or travel pants. They are pricey but a real bargain at STP.

I bought these in a size 10 long (35") and I'm 5'8" 145 pounds. They are long and will need to be hemmed, but the other lengths would have been too short (and who likes floods?). They fit fine, but I normally wear either a 6 or an 8 in pants, so would say these run small. I expected more from these pants since they were not inexpensive, and they are fine, but that's it, just fine. I wouldn't buy them again, though.

These pants are the closest I could find that fit me in my quest for decent hiking pants.

    The good:
    Light weight
    Stretchable material
    Easy to clean
    Fitted/slimming look
Can roll up from the bottom for capris and maybe even shorts when it gets hot
    Adjustable waistband
    Blue/gray color
Long length (35" inseam) which is great if you're tall or short because you can easily hem them. Too many manufactures haven't gotten this point and make their pants with antiquated 32" inseams while more women have gotten taller in the past two generations.

    The not-so-good:
Lower than I'd like waist (Not Your Daughter's Jeans hits right below the belly button which is the sweet spot for comfort). These pants hit about 1 1/2 - 2" below the belly button.
Limited color choices (no light gray, purple, pink, etc.)
Still look like hiking pants, but better than many others that scream hiking pants. Can someone please design hiking pants that can go from the trail to the city?
The thigh area could use an extra 1/2" around for a bit more comfort (and my legs aren't fat)

These pants will do for now, but my search continues...

I do want to give a shout out to Sierra Trading Post which offered a decent price, delivered the pants quickly and made it easy for me to exchange a pair that was defective. Thank you!

I wear the Palisade pants for walking, running, and cross country skiing and they do the job. I love the zip thigh pockets on both sides and the steel color is almost a blue gray, very attractive. The fabric moves with me and is very comfortable. I am 5'3", 165 lbs. with a thick waist, straight hips, and the size 14 fits perfectly although I had them hemmed to the right length for me. They will be my go to pants for hiking next spring.

The picture looked like these would be fitted at the waist. I found it quite large (for a size 2). I will be returning.
