Unzips to reveal just a very wide turtleneck. Not so good for cooling off.

This shirt is very warm, but it is less than 10% wool. I should have read the specs more carefully, since it asks to line dry only. I tossed it in the dryer for a few min to get the wrinkles out with no shrinking. The fabric is very soft and lightweight like jersey cotton. It stayed warm and dry in blowing snow despite the low wool content. I do not like the fabric covering the zipper as it does not allow any ventilation. Fits true to size, and the sleeves are long enough to accommodate the thumb holes cuffs.

every other 1/4 zip shirt I have unzips and exposes your neck. This one has cloth under the zipper so its kinda like a loose turtle neck when you unzip it - weird! The material is nice and I like the shirt otherwise. I am going to cut the inner cloth part out and sew it back, but wouldn't have ordered the shirt if I had realized this in the first place.

Very comfortable shirt, the fabric feels great. The only issue is that I wish that they would have shown that the neck is not open when unzipped. I contemplated returning it because I like the option of more ventilation. I decided to keep it for the colder weather that is coming here in Minnesota. I will just keep it zipped up. Great shirt otherwise.
