Carhartt Thermal-Lined Active Duck Jacket - Cotton, Factory Seconds (For Men)

2nds. Carhartt calls the fabric of this thermal-lined active duck jacket a "firm hand" 12 oz. ring-spun cotton, and you'll understand why as soon as you come into contact with its ultra-rugged feel.

I love Carhartts but the ones I received from Sierra were HORRIBLY over-sized. I am a 40R and I wear medium or sometimes large. I ordered this in medium but what I got was what most places would call XL or XXL. I can't even wear them. I know these were factory seconds and I wonder if the "error" was the medium label. Unfortunately I waited too long to try these on so I am stuck eBaying them or donating them.

    This Carhartt jacket is great!
This jacket has triple stiching throughout the whole jacket, so that the stitching won't give up before the fabric does. The cotton duck is real nice, tough and real stiff when you first wear it. Real comfortable to wear and a bit warm. Has 2 well-sized inside pockets, a velcro and a zipper. I'm able to fit an IPhone 6 plus in the inside pockets. Made in the USA! I'm not sure what made this jacket seconds, but the zipper at first got stucked and wouldn't zip. Some lubricant and vaseline fixed that up.

I should have gotten the flannel lined version, but this jacket is truly excellent. With the thermal lining, you can wear this probably all 4 seasons, even winter. Just gotta layer up a bit more in winter.

If you're looking for a tough, durable, made in the USA, comfortable, warm enough to wear all 4 seasons or so, and a great looking jacket, then I recommend this jacket.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase and will be wearing this jacket for many years to come, even decades if it's still around.

This jacket is stiff when received, like other Carhartt jackets, but it is very nice quality. The stiffness will go away over time. I like it a lot and know it will last a long time. Made in the USA, too! I highly recommend this jacket to anyone for winter wear. Please note that this coat runs large

Carhartt is one of the very few affordable brands that stands up to its name. I've never been disappointed yet with the Carhartts I've purchased from STP, no flaws anywhere, zippers are fine. They're good heavy zippers and are stiff at first, but I wipe on just a touch of silicone when I first get it and they slide with ease after that.

This duck material, unlike the sanded duck, is a bit stiffer but will soften in time or after being washed. It has a nice feel and slight sheen to it that dresses it up a little. Good looking jacket, comfortable and warm, enough room for layering.

I bought two of these jackets. They are light weight not for the bitter cold. They are great for cool weather going into winter. I feel they run true to size
