Chippewa Blaine Plain-Toe Boots - Leather, 6” (For Men)
2nds. Chippewa's Blaine plain-toe boots are designed for the working man in water-resistant oiled leather, and they boast a moisture-wicking lining and insole topped with an antimicrobial finish to keep feet dry and feeling fresh. Underneath it all, the slip-resistant Vibram® rubber outsole ensures steady traction on a variety of surfaces.
Reviewed by Rob from Maryland on Sunday, July 30, 2017Jumped on the pair in 14B when I saw them. Real nice. Fit my long narrow feet great. Could use a thicker insole, as my feet are low volume even for narrow width. The smell of the leather is intoxicating. The 2nds defect is just a small divot in the leather, as far as I can tell. These are Chippewa style 20028, which are listed on Chippewa website as Odessa. Confusing, as STP has a different Chippewa style right now as Odessa. STP likes to confound product names, I think so that it hard to verify their often inflated "list price". These indeed list at $189. Chippewa has the 20028 as fiberglass shank and sewn seat construction. STP lists these as steel shank and Goodyear welt. So not sure if the 20028s I received are an older design or just alternate facts on STP's part. I don't know enough to verify. Minus 1 star for the confusion.
