Been searching for a brown pair of shoes like these. They fit but weren't comfortable at all. Am returning.

I was looking for a sturdy comfortable shoe/boot to walk long distances. I need something with a roomy toe box and removable insoles for my orthotics. Unfortunately these shoes didn't have enough room for the orthotics and my toe! They are also very heavy and hard. If you want a sturdy shoe and don't need extra room then these will work for you. The sizing is just right.

These shoes are not a fashion statement, nor are they hiking shoes for the serious hiker, but if you are looking for a sturdy well made work shoe then these are for you. They are a relatively heavy shoe which is why I would not recommend them for all day hiking. They will give your feet serious protection and your legs a serious workout but wearing all day will tire your legs out.. I guess once you get use to the weight that issue will resolve itself. The toe box is roomy which I really like. No cramped toes The fit is European sizing which makes getting a good fit difficult. I wear a 39 or 40 depending on the shoe. Bog sizing said order up for half sizes which I did. Technically, I would say the fit is 1/2 size to big considering the big toe box but the next size down would have made the shoe to small The shoes will hold up to my rugged lifestyle so I am keeping them . I live remote and off grid. Being self sufficient means owning hard working clothing as well as foot wear. These were a awesome bargain for my needs/
