You get what you pay for. This unit is cheap in every way. The wire line coating cracks and peels off easily and the line crimps causing the unit to grab and stick rather than smoothly retract. I don't expect to get more than a season out of this retractor before something breaks. Hopefully I won't lose the gear attached to it!

These Zingers don't work. They get caught up when retracting and the clear liner on the cable came off after a couple of pulls. Buy something else on this sight instead of these.

I have been finding that LOON products have very poor "Q" control. This zinger just needs to have the wire hole deburred. You can't take the thing apart to do it so it eventually, like the 1st time of use, it strips the plastic coating off. I just stripped the plastic off and it works ...'ok.'

I have notice the Loon products from Sierra are of poor quality. I also have a vest that the zipper broke on the first use. Granted the price is right, but...The hole from which the plastic coated wire emerges from is too sharp. It cuts and shreds the plastic from the wire... which in turn jams the zinger up. I spent some time removing the plastic from the zinger to make the item function. You will also need to deburr the inside of the hole to keep the wire from shredding. If you can deburr before you use it you might beable to save the plastic coating.
