Hi-Tec Cimarron II Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Men)

Closeouts. Light in weight but not on protection, Hi-Tec's Cimmaron II hiking shoes boast a Dri-Tec waterproof breathable membrane, a durable-yet-breathable suede and mesh upper, and a flexible, shock-absorbing EVA midsole. Multi-directional lugs on the rubber outsole keep you stuck to the ground while allowing natural foot flex for comfortable movement.

These are good shoes for anyone active around the house, yard, etc. but they really don't hit the level of 'hiking shoe'. The price is good, they fit well, but the foot bed support and shank support simply isn't at the level of what is needed for a true hiking shoe. However, the price isn't at that level either. I have found Hi-Tec is a reliable, consistent brand for everyday shoe and these keep with that reputation.

Bought these for winter and the 15 minute walk to the office from the train station, and lunchtime calorie burner in the park. Very comfortable, excellent value at $40. A tad small lengthwise for a 9 1/2 but width-wise, perfect.
