If you are a woman of smaller size, know that these boots, though attractive and well made, are broad and heavy. I loved them in the photo, and I was impressed by them when I saw them...until I tried them on. They are very heavy-looking and -feeling, and they hurt my ankles when I walked in them. I tried wearing them with the laces loose, and then with the laces not even tied at the tops, but still, no luck. I imagined myself snow shoeing in them, and wearing myself out in two blocks.

Size 7 US, length on the insole 24.5 cm, in appearance - large, but fit well, all the middle warmed, comfortable to wear. The sole is 2-3.5 cm, the weight of 1 shoe is 475 grams. It is written that you can wear up to -13 C. Not yet worn, but I think everything will be fine

I use Salomon trail runners, day hikers, and mid rise hiking boots so when I saw these insulated utilities I wanted to try them. They are awesome! They fit true to size for me (7). Nice room in the toe box (I have bunions and need a little extra space). I would say only go a half size up if you wear really heavy socks. These are insulated (thinsulate) and have a nice faux sheep skin around the ankle and tongue. They are toasty warm with regular walking socks. They are true ‘utility’ boots so they are a bit stiff, but I haven’t done any work in them yet. I want them for those snowy cold days when I need warmth and traction for trips to town or siting outside with a cappuccino! OK, I’ll also use them for going to the wood pile and other light utility jobs that may come along. The Contagrip sole is awesome, nice and thick. These will last for years and waterproof! Yeah! I didn’t find any issue with the grommets as in the previous review and I have a normal gate. They look awesome! Definitely real working boots, but still feminine.

Great boots, super comfortable. Only problem is that the metal lace buckles on the inside of the boot snag on the opposite boots buckles and bend them out. Kinda annoying. Love the fleece cuff on the ankle though!
