I agree the damage should have been disclosed -- and it is disclosed by the company on other sites where it is offered -- but as the price is sooo much less I can overlook. The damage on mine is so minimal it just looks like rub marks and one teeny deeper scrape. I guess luck of the draw what you get exactly. I might have preferred the model that looks like a giant fry pan with the flat bottom; on this, anything liquid-y or cylindrical like sausages will flow down -- I think it'll have to be one big pancake at the bottom! -- but for the price differential I'll cope. Fajitas!! Maybe 2 dozen burgers! I bought a heavy duty 24" diameter rolling plant dolly and a patio side table cover on (that other giant online purchase site), so it can live on my patio in splendor.
Reviewed by Jeff from Virginia on Thursday, March 29, 2018The FireDisc is great. Highly recommend it. Sierra Trading Post was super fast to ship too. I am deducting a point only because Sierra Trading Post failed to disclaim that the reason these are so cheap is because it was a batch that was deeply discounted by the manufacturer due to poor packaging and the disc will arrive deeply gouged in most cases (like mine). They consider it cosmetic but 1/8 inch deep gouges caused by the legs riding inside the disc with only a piece of thin paper between the two is not what I consider cosmetic for a brand new piece of hardware. Yes, I can cook with it but they should have disclosed it on the website. I still would have bought it, and you should too, but it should have been a conscious choice.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DJM from Nebraska on Tuesday, February 27, 2018While this is the shallow plow disc cooker, and a bundled package, it is a steal at the STP pricing! You may have to sacrifice and go with the khaki color, but that is a small price to pay for the package.... the disc needs to be seasoned, but once that is done, you are good to go! Literally anywhere as portable as this multi purpose cooker is.
