I was looking for an everyday cold weather (well, Southern California cold) jacket and since I already have another Carhartt jacket I really like I ordered this one. It looks great and is definitely well made as usual. Unfortunately it was way too big for me so I had to return it. I am 6'4", average build with long arms and can usually wear a XXL without problems. My other Carhartt jacket is an XXL too. This one fit in the arms and the shoulders but around the midline I could have fit another person in with me. Bummer it was only available in that size anymore.

I am a guy who people comment on about how broad my shoulders are. I ordered the XXL which is what size I wear in everthing else and I could have had my college football shoulder pads on and it would have been too big. Not sure if it was because this was a factory second or what. Otherwise, it was a very nice coat.

The Carhartt Sandstone Ridge Jacket is a great all around jacket for everything except the coldest days. If this is a second I sure can't find why as it appears exactly like the one in the store for three times the money. It is warm, looks good and has plenty of pockets. The fit is as expected, just a touch on the large size as most Carhartt work wear is and Serra Trading Post is the best.

I had a jacket similar to this which is also called heart that I had to convert into a work jacket due to the cold weather. So having this jacket I already knew it was going to keep me warm but had no idea it was going to make me look so stylish

Great jacket. Warm, comfortable, rugged, and with easy movement. At first I could not find the irregularity which discounted the jacket, until I bought a hood for it. After I had taken all the tags off the jacket, I saw that the jacket was missing a snap to attach the hood. When they say that the irregularity is strictly cosmetic, that's not true.

I got this as a work coat for the riggers of outdoor chores in Colorado. They classified this as a factory second, but much to my surprise I have tried to find ANYKIND of flaw and have come up short! This coat is very well made, plenty warm and at an amazing price. You can also add a snap on hood from Carhartt for those really cold winter days. I know that I will get many years of excellent usage out of this coat. I would definitely recommend this coat for anyone looking for a rugged long lasting value packed coat for the working Outdoors-man.

I enjoy wearing this jacket at work in the elements and out on the town. It has a great range of motion in the arms and plenty of pockets. I can even snap a hood to the collar.

I purchased a carhartt coat similar to this WITH AN ATTACHED HOOD from STP about 3 years ago. Finally wore out enough after daily farm wear to need replacing. Length was perfect like this one (esp if you’re bending and stretching a lot), lots of pockets (but they were straight, deep & flapped, not shallow with a side entry) , warm and very durable. And the hood made it perfect. Unfortunately STP does not offer this style now. If you can do without the hood or secure pockets, I’d recommend this coat.
