Carhartt Arctic Work Coat - Factory Seconds (For Tall Men)

2nds. There's nothing particularly special about this Carhartt Arctic work coat -- unless you count the quality and durability stitched into every detail. Made of stout 12 oz. two-ply cotton duck lined with arctic-weight, nylon quilted polyester, this is a coat that delivers crucial warmth in uncomprimising conditions.

This coat "fits like a glove" and although it is called a "work coat" is stylish enough to be worn for "dress-up" occasions. I love the two-ply cotton duck exterior shell and the quilted lining - much better than the artificial glossy look of most jackets today. I have owned Carhartt work coats for many years, and do not even look at other brands when shopping for a new one.

This coat is heavy duty; it’s very warm, very durable and everything you come to expect from Carhartt.
I drive a pickup truck, it’s not a full size truck by any means in fact it has a four-cylinder engine. Sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed when I pull up to a full size truck…especially a Dodge diesel. But wearing this jacket gives me some of that testosterone that I lack from driving a pickup truck. It’s makes me feel like a man.
I’m not tall, didn’t read the full description to realize it’s for tall men. But the jacket fits great! Makes me feel taller and proud.

Received the coat and was surprised about the weight and how stiff the canvas fabric was. Overall it is a nice coat but make sure that you really need the arctic weight. I found the zipper to be very stiff but it was heavy duty, so I think a little wax and usage will free it up.

Confession: I don't work outside, but still enjoy the look, quality & warmth of these artic work coats! Oh' and the 1/2 off @ STP doesn't hurt either!

I'm 6'6" tall and 280lbs. This Jacket fit just perfect in the sleeves, length and girth. Just went through a cold snap and even though I thought the lining was a little thin, the Jacket was surprisingly warm !!!!
Would definitely recommend this Jacket to anyone that works in the elements...

We couldn't find a coat here locally to fit our tall son (6'3"), so we looked online & found this in Midnight-Large Tall. It fits him great (sleeves are long enough) & he loves the sturdy 2-way zipper & inside pocket for phone. He likes his Carharrt work bibs, so we knew he'd be happy with this item as he hates "puffy-looking" winter coats. We couldn't find ANY flaws & saved $60 over the regular price. Someone stated in their review that this was made in the USA- ours said Mexico & the quality was exceptional for an "irregular".

This is a nice coat...the tall sizing is hard to find. I'm 6'1", 170#, 32" waist, 38" chest, 35" sleeves. The medium tall fits me perfectly, with enough room for a light fleece jacket underneath if i need it. It's been a while since i've had a heavy duty metal zipper; a bit rough until i rubbed it with some paraffin...works fine now. Lots of pockets, ribbed storm cuffs, and the quilted lining makes it easy to put on and take off. Get the tall size while they've got 'em.
