Everything about it was as advertised on the website. I got this on a whim to try something different. I was looking for an emergency knife I could attach to a backpack shoulder strap (see pic). I have average sized hands and would say it fits pretty well and feels comfortable in my hand. If you have large hands you will find it too small. It came razor sharp. The sharpened portion of the blade is 2" long. There is a thicker portion of the blade by the handle if you need to "hammer" on it. I liked that it has the serrated blade and gut hook/rope cutting notch. The teeth on the serrated blade are fairly shallow, but not too bad. It holds very well in the sheath, perhaps a little too tightly. You need to slide your thumb in-between the knife handle and sheath to release it and it is pretty stiff. It may loosen up with use. There are certainly lighter knives if you're backpacking ultra-light. Overall, as an emergency/last ditch knife I would say this is quite good and have no hesitation in recommending it.
