really like this jacket, won't use for the coldest days of winter, but perfect for regular cold days. zipper only reason didn't get a 5, can be tricky.

I love this jacket. It's light, yet warm. The color is fantastic. The double zipper has not been an issue for me. I love that the pockets are fleecy (warm). I have not tried to pack, yet, it so I cannot comment on it's compression-ness. The sleeves are a big longer as mentioned in other reviews, but I like that for days I don't have gloves but want to tuck my hands in. The three logos are the OR on the front, Windstopper on sleeve and Outdoor Research on arm. A bit much? Sure. But, the cuteness of the jacket wins!

I've only worn this in the Pacific NW (40°'s). It's plenty warm. Will be interesting to test it in dryer, yet colder conditions in the mtns. TBD.

I'm 5'6"' 130lbs and the medium is a perfect fit, especially when layer with fleece for colder days. The sleeve length is a bit longer, but works well to pull over gloves when running with the dog.

I love the jacket, nice lightweight fit, wind resistant and beautiful purple color. Ordered a medium, fit perfectly, 5'4, 135 lbs. Can be worn as a layer on cold days. Outdoor research products are the best.

The first two times I wore this jacket the zipper caught by the neck, but I carefully zipped back down and then up again. It happened again today and I could not get it undone. I had to pull the jacket over my head and still couldn't get it undone once it was off me. I've arranged for an exchange from STP and I really hope I just got a bad zipper because I otherwise love this jacket.

Sizing is true--I'm 5'4" 115 and ordered the SM and have room for layers. I originally ordered the purple one, but decided I didn't like it and exchanged for the black. There are three embroidered logos on this jacket, which is excessive and made me feel like a corporate shill, but they're less noticeable on the black. I love that this jacket doesn't look like a shiny, quilted trash bag like so many other lightweight insulated jackets. The fabric is soft---not stiff. The windstopper feature is a bonus and works great. You can open the zipper from the top or bottom and I've found that that type of zipper can be finicky. No exception here--it takes a little getting used to but works well once you figure it out. The quality of this jacket is great. I love the hood. Others have complained that it doesn't fit over a helmet, but since I don't do any helmet sports, that is a plus for me. Regarding the warmth, I have nothing to compare it to, but I wore it at dusk (temp--45 and breezy) with a midweight capilene layer underneath and was comfortable.

I have a nice down jacket but wanted a windproof one, and this is great. Gore WindStopper tends to add stiffness to a jacket, but to my pleasant surprise this one is pretty soft. The synthetic fill makes it easy to care for, and it isn't bulky, so it will pack fairly well for travel. The 2-way zipper is a big plus. Mine is black size S and it fits very well (I'm 5'4" 110 lb). I can wear a 200-weight fleece jacket under it without it feeling tight. The hood has side adjustments and a back pull to keep it from falling too low over your forehead. I'll wear it from late fall through early Spring, though I suspect it will may too light for winter's most frigid days.

Luv the hacker for warmth and style but have to play a lot with the zipper to get it to work

This jacket is very warm and cuts the wind beautifully. I also like that has a low profile and is not shiny. Fits true to size

Absolutely love this jacket! Hood fits perfect. Lightweight, but still very warm with a layer underneath.
